Wake up, Drowsy Dragon

Wake up, drowsy dragon, come soar on high,
The dawn breaks even now.
Unfurl your wings that we may rule the sky;
Come let me show you how.
Stretch our, make haste,'tis time to dance
On golden sunlight and air.
Let us join in the burning ecstasy of romance
That only the winged ones can share.
Higher, still higher, approach the sun,
Our great wings beat ever faster.
The inferno ignites, unleashing the passion
That neither of us can master.
Feel the beat of my fiery heart
As I tremble to your dragontouch;
Roaring our pleasure, joining only to part,
Frightening the earthbound evermuch.
An archer's arrow pierces your breast as you fly,
And suddenly you are mine no more.
You tumble swiftly to the sea from the sky,
Swept away to a darkening shore.
My dragon's heart is not made of flame,
But flesh and blood and sinew.
A dragon dies of loneliness; no one is to blame,
For the last other dragon was you.
